Third Grade

Trinity Students Walking into Classroom
Third Grade Program

Third Grade at Trinity Episcopal School will help children transition in their development from the lower elementary years to the upper elementary years.  Differentiated teaching styles will engage the students in reading, math, writing, science, social studies, and the arts. Interwoven throughout the daily activities is a unified approach to help children develop and build foundational beliefs and values from a biblical perspective. The classroom is a center that will allow the children to learn, work, and play cooperatively in a spiritual growth atmosphere.

As students participate in activities and studies that provide opportunities for their spiritual, personal, and academic development, they will be nourished in a variety of educational endeavors.  Special attention will be placed on further developing children’s fine motor skills through the instruction of cursive using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.  Additional topics unique to the upper elementary experience will include a further deepening understanding of science and social studies.  In addition to these topics, children will continue to grow and develop their understanding of the core subjects of Language Arts, Mathematics, and Bible at Trinity Episcopal School.
