our mission
We seek to provide a biblically based, Christ-centered education to children in their most formative years. Each child is seen as unique and made in the image of God.
Trinity Episcopal Preschool, located in downtown Vero Beach, strives to provide a clean, safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment. We offer a quality educational curriculum that assists the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of all children.
We support and recognize the parents as the primary educators of their children, and desire to partner with them to provide a strong spiritual foundation to “train up a child in the way he should go”. Proverbs 22:6
Trinity Episcopal Preschool is a ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church.

OUR STAFF

Reeny Sempsrott
Preschool Director
Reeny feels blessed by the opportunity to be the Director of Trinity Episcopal Preschool. She has 35 years of experience in the classroom focused on teaching early childhood education. The past ten years she served as a Preschool Director and PK4 teacher. Her passion is to serve children and families by offering a safe, positive, Christian learning environment where children feel loved, encouraged and valued while growing spiritually and in knowledge.
Reeny and her husband, Greg, have four grown children and ten beautiful grandchildren. Each one of them is unique and brings her much joy. When not spending time with her family she enjoys working out, running, and reading on the beach.
It is her love for the Lord and for children that drive Reeny in her commitments to provide an exceptional preschool program to families in our community.

Sally Nicholas
School Administrator

Jane Carter
2-Year-Old Program Teacher
Mrs. Carter has been teaching early childhood education for five years and has her Childhood Development Associate Credentials. She brings her love for crafts into the classroom and enjoys seeing the children grow creatively, academically, and spiritually. She is grateful for the family-feel of Trinity Episcopal Preschool and the collaboration of ideas and resources shared between teachers. She and her family recently moved from St. Augustine after her husband retired from the military and they are enjoying the small-town atmosphere of Vero Beach. Her daughter (14) is involved in Vero Beach rowing and her son (9) participates in Vero Beach Little League. On weekends she and her family can usually be found on the water, camping, or exploring Vero.

Marie Heaton
PreK 4 Teacher
Marie has been working with children since her teens and in early childhood education for over 15 years. She has her CDA and has participated in many childhood development seminars.
Marie has five adult children and five beautiful grandchildren. The love of teaching funs in the family as two of her children became teachers as well.
She enjoys being creative, decorating, and being outdoors. Her classroom environment reflects her love of nature, and it is incorporated into the themes. She believes it helps make the room a calming, welcoming space.
It is Marie’s passion to teach children how much God loves and cares for them. She is excited to work at Trinity Episcopal School and help children to grow in their knowledge and relationship with the Lord.

Andi Wade
PreK 3 Teacher
Mrs. Wade first earned an Associate’s in Education degree before obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Theology from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN. Mrs. Wade considers it an honor and a joy to teach children about God, His word, and His world. Through exploration, imagination, and play, Mrs. Wade hopes that each child develops a lasting love for learning and a desire to glorify the Lord with their whole being. She shares Trinity Episcopal Preschool’s value for all aspects of a child’s development – cognitive, emotional, and spiritual. Mrs. Wade was raised in Vero Beach in a close-knit family and recently married her high school sweetheart. She loves to travel and has been to 7 countries. Her favorite experience was when she taught English to students in China.

I come to Trinity with 14 years of Early Childhood Education experience, including teaching and administration. Darlene Rodgers
Music / Movement
Mrs. Rodgers comes to Trinity Episcopal Preschool with 30 years of teaching experience. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an Emphasis in Sacred Music and a Master of Education in Special Education. Additionally, Mrs. Rodgers is certified in the Orff Schulwerk approach for music education and certified by the State of Florida in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). She and her husband, Lee, have three grown sons and four amazing grandchildren. Darlene enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, and loves spending time with her family.
Music / Movement
Music class for preschoolers is a joyous occasion! Led by Darlene Rodgers, this class encourages children to follow their God-given instincts for singing through voice exploration. With a curriculum of both traditional and Christ-centered songs, children embrace opportunities for movement playing a variety of musical instruments and using speech in rhythm. Classical music forms the background for a wealth of experience for beat and rhythm sensitivity and free/structured movement. As German composer Carl Orff has said, “The work of children is play”.
