Christian Formation

Chapel

Our students and faculty meet four times weekly in the Trinity Episcopal Church chapel to “worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” (Psalm 96 v. 9).  Trinity’s clergy lead the students in the Daily Office of Morning Prayer.  This service includes the reading the psalms and scriptures and the singing of hymns.  As Anglicans, we believe that corporate worship is a central act of praise and glory to our Lord.  Our Early Childhood (PreK3, PreK4) students also participate in a worship service held weekly, and led by one of our clergy that is delivered in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

Chaplain Devotionals

Twice a week Elementary students receive Christian instruction from the school chaplain on the Bible.  These devotionals are interactive and invite students to imagine themselves inside of the Bible stories.  Sessions are held privately for each grade, allowing for discovery and inquiry to be individualized to each age group.

Classroom Biblical Study

At three years old, students begin learning memory verses and come to know the Lord through daily Bible study.  Students complete daily activities with their teachers that combine Biblical truth with practical application.  Beginning in Second Grade all students are issued a Bible that is appropriate to their reading level that helps deepen their understanding of the Christian Faith.   Elementary School students are assessed on their knowledge of Christianity as a part of their report cards with Christianity being a core subject for instruction at Trinity.

Christian Identity at Trinity

Christianity is woven into all aspects of our school’s culture and curriculum.  Students and teachers regularly pray together throughout the day.  Additionally, teachers work to regularly help students find deeper connections to Jesus Christ throughout all subject and content areas.
