OUR beliefs

Our Beliefs.

At Trinity we share the gospel of Jesus Christ through traditional worship and biblical preaching in a family-focused environment.

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and seek to pattern our lives and believes on its teaching. We interpret Scripture with the help of the Holy Spirit as he has spoken through the Christian tradition; so we uphold the catholic and orthodox faith as summarized in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.

  2. Realizing that we are sinners in need of redemption, we look to Christ for our salvation. We believe that by his crucifixion and resurrection he has redeemed us and reconciled us with God. By his Holy Spirit, he enables us to work out this salvation as we live the Christian life.

  3. We worship using the Book of Common Prayer, which has its roots in the worship of the early Christians. By participating in the liturgy together week after week, we seek as a community to conform our hearts and minds to the truth of God’s Word and to worship him in spirit and in truth.

  4. As a parish of the Anglican Communion, we are part of a historic structure, and our bishop and priests have received their laying on of hands through the Apostolic Succession, a lineage going all the way back to the Apostles.

For more information on what it means to be a Christian in the Anglican tradition, see the following series taught by our rector.
