OUR MISSION

We seek to provide a biblically based, Christ-centered education to children in their most formative years. Each child is seen as unique and made in the image of God.

Trinity Episcopal Preschool, located in downtown Vero Beach, strives to provide a clean, safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment. We offer a quality educational curriculum that assists the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of all children.

We support and recognize the parents as the primary educators of their children, and desire to partner with them to provide a strong spiritual foundation to “train up a child in the way he should go”. Proverbs 22:6

Trinity Episcopal Preschool is a ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church.

OUR PRESCHOOL'S PHILOSOPHY

We strive to provide a spiritually enriched environment for the children in our care.

Highly qualified and dedicated teachers and staff are at the heart of Trinity Episcopal Preschool. They ensure that each child feels loved, nurtured, respected, and challenged to be their very best for the glory of God.

It is our philosophy that play is a child’s work and that children learn best during age appropriate, child-centered activities. Here students gain knowledge through the active exploration of their environment.

Our program is strengthened by providing opportunities throughout the day for teacher-directed learning where children listen with a purpose, take direction, and learn to problem solve. We believe that the balance of both hands-on and teacher-directed learning will help to set the student up for success in their future educational experiences and encourage the love of lifelong learning.

GROWTH & ENRICHMENT

MUSIC/MOVEMENT

Music class for preschoolers is a joyous occasion! Darlene Rodgers is excited to teach the children to learn to follow their God-given instincts for singing through voice exploration. She will teach them to sing traditional and Christ-centered songs, as they move playing a variety of musical instruments, and using speech in rhythm. Classical music forms the background for a wealth of experience for beat and rhythm sensitivity and free/structured movement. As German composer Carl Orff has said, “If you have a child’s interest at heart, you will let them learn while they play.”

CHAPEL

Chapel is a worship service designed specifically for our preschool children. Using kid-friendly songs, lessons with props and incorporating simple and easy-to-learn prayers, Chapel invites even the youngest child to encounter Jesus Christ and the Christian faith.

OUR CURRICULUM

The staff and teachers of Trinity Episcopal Preschool meet and exceed all state, and Indian River County standards for early childhood educators.

The truth of God’s Word is incorporated into the entire curriculum and is built upon developmentally appropriate practices.  It meets/exceeds school readiness, encourages exploration and fosters a child’s natural desire to learn.  Our curriculum draws from ABC Jesus Loves Me, Play to Learn, Pockets of Preschool, and Conscious Discipline.
