Chris M. Rodriguez, Rector
Fr. Chris and his family came to us in 2012 from Trinity Church in Red
Bank, NJ where he had served since 2007. Previously he was Curate at All
Saints' Church in Wynnewood, PA.

He is second generation Basque on his father’s side, his grandfather
Rodriguez having immigrated to the United States during the Spanish civil
war. He attended Pennsylvania State University graduating in 1991 with a
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 1994, he earned a Master of Science
degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
While working as a Sr. Systems Engineer for a large healthcare corporation,
he was received into the Anglican Communion. Fr. Chris did his seminary work
at Trinity Seminary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While enrolled as a
full-time student, he also worked as the Director of Information Technology
for the seminary.
He and his wife, Kathy, have three daughters. He enjoys spending time with
his family, exercising, playing the guitar, reading (history and theology),
and meeting new people.

Don Clawson, Associate Priest
The Rev. Don Clawson was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He
received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1955 and subsequently
received his Master’s Degree in Theology from the General Theological
Seminary in New York City in 1958. He has served as Rector of five different
churches in Pennsylvania, Alabama and Florida.

Father Clawson, after ordination in Pittsburgh, in addition to being
Rector of churches had at the same time been a Bible instructor in two
Episcopal High Schools – one in Jacksonville, Florida and the other in
Mobile, Alabama.
While Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mobile he was also Chaplain
and board chairman of the largest Episcopal school in the country – St.
Paul’s.
Father Clawson has also served on both the finance committee and the
executive board of the Diocese of Southeast Florida as well as holding the
position of Dean of the South Palm Beach Deanery while he was Rector of St.
Paul’s Episcopal Church in Delray Beach for 21 years.
Father Clawson is married to the former Stacey Hanna and is the father of
three grown children. He and Stacey have been active members of Trinity
Church in Vero Beach since his retirement in 1998.

George Dirghalli, Associate Priest
The Rev. S. George Dirghalli served for two decades as Rector of Calvary
Episcopal Church in Syracuse, NY, retiring in 1988. There, with Kira, his
wife of 44 years, they raised two children, Elisabeth and Stefan.

A native of Detroit, Rev. Dirghalli received a BS degree from the
University of Florida where he continued pursuing graduate studies. He
received a M.Div. from the Episcopal Theological School in 1964 and also
concentrated on Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard's graduate school. In
1976, he began Doctoral studies at Drew University School of Theology.
Earlier, Rev. Dirghalli worked professionally with Lambda Chi Alpha
International Fraternity. Following ordination, in 1964, he served as
chaplain for SUNY Cortland College, where he met his wife, and worked as
Assistant to the Rector at Grace Episcopal Church in downtown Cortland, NY.
He has always enjoyed an incredibly diverse and active life. In fact, even
now, he is the Pastor at Grace Episcopal Church in Mexico, NY from late May
through Christmas.
Fortunately, in deciding to seek a winter home, he and Kira chose Vero
Beach. Of course, his winter home parish became Trinity, and we have been
blessed to have a man with such talents and experience as a vital part of
our community.

Alan Edmiston, Associate Priest
The Rev. Alan Edmiston is a native of
Brightwaters on Long Island, NY. He currently resides in Vero Beach and
Montauk.

Rev. Edmiston (or Alan as many of his Trinity friends call him) holds a
B.S. degree from Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ and S.T.B. and M.Div.
degrees from the Episcopal Divinity School in Philadelphia, PA. In his
active clerical career which spanned over three decades, he served as Curate
for Grace Church, Plainfield, New Jersey (1967-1970), Senior Curate for St.
Peter's Church, Bay Shore, New York (1970-1982), and Rector for All Saints'
Church, Bayside, New York (1982-1999).
Rev. Edmiston is canonically resident in the Diocese of Long Island,
although he is licensed to officiate in the Diocese of Central Florida as
well. Though he typically attends Trinity, he occasionally serves St.
Elizabeth's, Sebastian, Florida. Since 2005, during Christmas, Easter, and
for the month of August, he can be found serving at St. Luke's Episcopal
Church, East Hampton, Long Island, New York.

Jason P. Hobratschk, Organist & Choirmaster
Born in La Grange, Texas, Jason graduated summa cum laude from
Concordia University at Austin, Texas, where he studied organ.

While in Austin, Jason served as a Chapel Organist and as Apprentice in
Church Music at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church. In 2005, he was awarded a
Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from Portland State University.
In addition, Jason sang baritone in the internationally-acclaimed PSU
Chamber Choir. He was the Director of the PSU Men’s Chorus. While in
Portland, Jason was Organist and Handbell director at Bethany Presbyterian
Church and Minister of Music at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He remains an
active member of the American Guild of Organists.
Thanks to a Fulbright grant, Jason lived in Munich, Germany, where he
researched his Ph.D. dissertation on the German composer Werner Egk. Then,
in December 2011, he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Musicology
from Florida State University.
He has been part of Trinity Episcopal Church's ministry team since August,
2010. In addition, Jason serves as Assistant Director of the Vero Beach
Choral Society, a bass in the Atlantic Schola Cantorum choral ensemble, and
a member of the Atlantic Ringers handbell ensemble.

Kathy Rodriguez, Director of
Parish Life
Kathy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Business
Administration from Penn State Univeristy where she met her husband, our own
Father Chris.

While going to school and after graduation, Kathy worked in the Human
Resources department for a major software company for ten years.
Father Chris and Kathy have three wonderful girls. After staying home with
their children for 12 years, Kathy began working as a Parish Administrator
for an Episcopal Church while their family lived in New Jersey.
Kathy loves to go to spend time with her family, go to the girls' sporting
events, to exercise and to teach kids about Jesus.

Diane Steinke, Bookkeeper
Diane is a native Vero Beacher. She attended St. Helens School for eight
years and then graduated from Vero Beach High School.

Before joining the team at Trinity, she worked in retail and banking for
many years. Diane is married and has two sons of her own as well as
two step-sons and one step-daughter.
Diane enjoys boating and camping with her family - which has grown to
include the many wonderful people she's come to know during her service with
Trinity Episcopal Church.

Frank Carl, Property Manager
Frank has been managed the facilities at Trinity for over a decade and a
half. In this position he is
responsible for keeping many aspects of our worship campus in pristine,
working order.

Trinity campus is a "well-oiled machine" due to Frank’s dedication to our
church and members.
Frank was born in New Jersey, served in the Navy, and moved to Vero Beach
from Maryland. He is married with four children, one granddaughter, and two
cats – Ben and Bob.
Frank likes to hunt, fish, and ride his motorcycle. He has a keen
understanding of everything from mechanical systems to audio engineering,
and his talents are a genuine blessing to our congregation.

Barbara Hallam, Senior Warden
Our Senior Warden is the leader of the volunteer board, or Vestry, that
governs our church. Barbara has been an active member of Trinity as well as serving as an
Eucharistic Minister since moving to Vero Beach in 1998.

She was baptized as an infant at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in N.
Plainfield, NJ.
Barbara is a 12-year veteran of the Board of her homeowners association,
overseeing the community's landscaping. She is an active member of Trinity's
Daughters of the King.
In her professional career with Security Pacific Bank, as Barbara was
Project Manager for a 5,000 acre waterfront development in the New Orleans
area - an assignment which spanned almost 2 decades. This work included
building and operating an 18-hole golf club & tennis club; implementing
water & sewer system and marina, as well as packaging parcels of real estate
for sale all within strict environmental guidelines. Barbara served as
School Board President for a new Catholic high school which was the result
of a 4 year feasibility study.
Upon moving to Marathon, FL, Barbara served as Junior Warden at St. Colomba
Episcopal Church for 7 years. Before retiring, she was an Assistant Designer
at Spectrum Interiors. She is married to John and they have 4 children and
12 grandchildren.

Bill Furr, Junior Warden
For many years, Bill Furr has been an active member of the Episcopal
Church in Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

He has been a vestry member at St. Mary’s in Blowing Rock, NC, and he has
a great deal of experience in fund-raising, including 7 years with The
Education Foundation here in Indian River County, where he has served on their Board of Directors this coming
spring.
Bill and Emily have three adult
children, who live in North Carolina. In addition to his knowledge of
fund-raising, Bill brings with him years of business management in the
textile, ladies’ garment manufacturing, and retail sales arenas, as well
as vestry and church management experience.

Janet Barkett, Secretary
Janet, a native Floridian, has been attending Trinity with her family
since 1985.

A graduate of Florida State University, she worked for not for profit
organizations during her professional career. Janet has served in many areas
as a member of Trinity over the years and is currently serving on the Vestry
for the third time since joining the parish. In the past, she has served as
Senior Warden and Secretary.
Currently, Janet is involved in Trinity’s Daughters of the King. She
regularly volunteers in the church office.
She and her husband, Bruce, have three children.

Carter Taylor, Treasurer
Carter and Ann, along with their three girls, moved to Vero Beach in 2010
and have been active in Trinity and the community from the outset.

Carter was an acolyte in his youth at the Church of the Redeemer in Bryn
Mawr, PA. He graduated from the Haverford School and received a BS in
Economics from the Wharton School. He began and ran a marketing
information-services company in Atlanta and has started a Florida-based
renewable-energy services company.
His wife, Ann, has worked with the Sunday School and now chairs the
Marketing/Communications Committee.

John Beukers
Born in North London, England, John attended London University acquiring
BSc in Mechcanical and Electrical Engineering. John came to the USA in 1957
to join General Dynamics in Rochester, NY.

For many years, he was an active choir member of Christ Church, Radlett,
England, where he was confirmed. At Rochester's St. Paul’s Episcopal Church,
John started a youth group and sang in the choir. While there, he met and
married Marilyn, a graduate of the University of Rochester, Eastman School
of Music. Then, in 1960, John and Marilyn relocated to Stony Brook, NY and
became members of the Caroline Church of Brookhaven. John was active in
rejuvenating their choir and music programs.
John founded and ran Beukers Laboratories for 25 years, a high tech
engineering company specializing in the fields of Meteorology and Radio
Navigation.
In 1991, the Beukers came to Vero Beach and joined Trinity. They are
year-round residents and Trinity choir members.

Stacey Clawson
Stacey is a lifelong Episcopalian from Delray Beach, Florida. She joined
Trinity Church when she and her husband moved to Vero Beach full time in
1998 after his retirement as the Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Stacey has been a realtor with Alex MacWilliam, Inc. Real Estate for the
past 14 years. She is a past president of the Daughters of the King at Trinity as
well as being a licensed Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Worship
Committee.

Susie Hall
Susie Hall was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and has lived in many
different areas of the US during her lifetime.

She is a “cradle Episcopalian” and has always been involved in the
Episcopal Church wherever she has lived. Susie was a seasonal member of
Trinity from 1988 – 1999, when she transferred her membership to become a
fulltime communicant of Trinity.
Susie was educated in Atlanta at the Lovett School, at Winthrop College
in S.C., where she majored in Art History and Interior Design. From 1968
to 1989 she lived in Newport News, Va., where she raised her family and
was active in the Junior League, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and many
other community organizations.
Susie had two grown daughters, one son-in-law, and three grandsons. She
is presently a Realtor with Premier Estate Properties.
Susie has been on the Altar Guild here since 2004, has participated in
several Faith Alive weekends both at Trinity and at her parish in Houston,
TX., has been active in the outreach programs here, has run a Bible study
group at Fishers Island, NY, and was a delegate to the Diocesan Convention
in Orlando in 2009. She is dedicated to the preservation and the growth of
Trinity as an active, welcoming, and compassionate parish within the
Diocese of Central Florida and the community of Vero Beach.

Trish Joaquim
Trish and her husband, Ron, have been year-round residents of Vero Beach
and active members of Trinity since 2002.

Trish has previously served as Chair of the Outreach Ministry Group,
where she continues to serve as a group member committed to the Thanksgiving
and Easter Food Drives.
Trish is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Duke
University and she received her MBA from the University of Miami. She also
completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
She is the President of the Community Association at Orchid Island Golf and
Beach Club, and has served on the Board of the Junior League Sustainers.
Trish has her own consulting firm focusing on leadership assessment and
development and executive coaching. Prior to consulting, she held senior
level positions at AT&T.
In her spare time, Trish enjoys playing tennis. Trish and Ron have one
daughter, Megan, who lives with her husband and 2 children in Portland,
Maine. Trish values the relationships she has created with her fellow
parishioners at Trinity, her companions on a wonderful spiritual journey.

Helen Johnson
Helen Johnson, along with her husband, Charlie, and their three sons, has
lived in Vero Beach for the past seven years.

A life-long Episcopalian, Helen grew up in Chattanooga, TN where she was
a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She received her BA in English
Literature from the University of the South followed by her MD from
Vanderbilt University. Helen and Charlie spent the years prior to moving to
Vero in Gainesville, FL where she completed her residency in pediatrics.
In an effort to spend more time with her young sons, she is not currently
practicing, but enjoys writing for the health care industry and volunteering
with the Indian River Land Trust. Helen, Charlie, and their sons, Will, Mac,
and Bo, feel blessed to be a part of the Trinity family.

Sandy Mauro
A lifelong Episcopalian from Rochester N.Y. area, Sandy has served on the
vestry of two different churches, participated in hospitality, outreach
activities, choir and Education for Ministry (EFM).

Sandy is a member of the choir, EFM, and she
volunteers in the office. She serves as President of the Daughters of the
King. She served as Trinity’s delegate to the general
convention and to the convention for the election of Bishop elect. Sandy, a
retired teacher has a B.Sc. in Elementary Education and a M.S in Spanish.

Rick McDermott
Rick and his wife, Laura, have attended Trinity Church since 1983 and
became full time members in 1998.

Previously, Rick served as Senior Warden of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church
in Greenwich, CT.
Rick McDermott has an extensive business background. He is the President of
Chapdelaine and Company in New York City, the Regional President of U.S.
Trust Co. in Vero Beach, and the Vice Chairman of Cypress Capital Group.
He is very involved in the Vero Beach community. He was the Past Chairman of
Vero Beach Museum of Art, the Past Chairman of Indian River Medical Center
Foundation, the Past Board Member of Indian River Medical Center, the
Founding Chairman of the Indian River Community Foundation. He presently
serves on the Boards of St. Edward’s School and the John’s Island Club.

a brief time working in the White House before owning an energy conservation
business in California.
He moved to Vero Beach in 2000 and has been a member of Trinity for nearly
12 years. He is the usher at the Saturday 5:00 pm service and co-host of the
first Saturday reception.
