Dear Members and Friends of Trinity Episcopal Church,
This has been a busy hurricane season. And in the past few weeks, I have appealed to the people of our parish for help with those suffering from Harvey and Irma. As always, the people of Trinity Episcopal Church have been exceedingly generous.
I am glad to report that $5,000 has been donated for Harvey relief to the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. In addition, $3,235 has been donated so far for Irma relief to St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church in Islamorada in the Keys. (Their Rector, Fr. Tom Graf, and I had a conversation last week detailing the needs of that parish.) Increasingly, Trinity Episcopal Church is a parish focused on mission outside of our walls. Thanks be to God!
Please continue to pray for all those who suffer because of the hurricanes. I look forward to seeing you this weekend at Church. Until then, I remain
yours in Christ,
Fr. Chris Rodriguez

Readings for this Coming Weekend – Saturday and Sunday, September 23rd and 24th
Every Sunday we read texts from the Bible: a lesson from the Old Testament and/or New Testament, a Psalm and one of the Gospels. That’s a lot to take in all at once. To prepare us for the coming weekend, we are presenting the texts to you ahead of time. The texts for this Sunday appear below.
First Lesson: Jonah 3:10-4:11
Psalm: Psalm 145: 1-8
Second Lesson: Philippians 1:21-30
Gospel: Matthew 20:1-16
Hurricane Irma Relief
If you are interested and have not already, you can still make a donation to St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church in the Keys. You can make a check payable to “Trinity Episcopal Church,” earmark it “Irma relief,” and put it in the Collection plate during the services this weekend. Or you can go to Trinity’s website, www.TrinityVero.org, and give online. (Click the “Giving” button on the main screen and then click the "Donate" button. This will bring you to the PayPal screen where you can specify your donation. Indicate “Irma Relief” as a “Special Instruction.”) We will send these funds directly to St. James Episcopal Church to help serve their congregation as they minister to their own community.

Buggy Bunch Bible Study – Wednesday, September 27th
Attention all Moms! The Buggy Bunch’s Bible Study called, "Crazy Cycle in Marriage" by Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs, continues on Wednesday, September 27th. The study will run through Wednesday, October 25th and will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Child care is available.
In this 4-part series, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs sheds light on an often overlooked, yet indispensable element of a healthy marriage—respect. Combining biblical instruction with scientific expertise, Emerson provides insight into the unique ways in which God has designed both men and women and how they can rightly embrace their differences in marriage. As couples come to see the heart behind their partner's complaints, they will better understand the place for both love and respect between husband and wife. Rather than becoming another statistic, struggling marriages can break their Crazy Cycle and become thriving marriages by living in accordance to God's good design.
There will be a study guide available to purchase for $5.00. In addition, a reservation for child care is required. If you are interested in joining the Buggy Bunch Bible Study, please register at www.thebuggybunch.com.
